A little travelogue which follows a nuclear family through their Danish farm holiday.
Husband, wife and two children enjoy their boat trip - channel cross. They land in Denmark, in the town of Esbjerg. Family disembarks and starts to enjoy continental goods - pork sausages. Pigs (in all shapes and forms) are Danish major export product. Family then drives to their holiday destination - a farm. Nice Danish countryside on the way, great farm. Danes are very warm and friendly.
Several shots of farm activities, rounding cows etc. Little boy enjoys driving tractor and riding a pony. Family is stationed at the farm but they visit various places. In Aarhus they watch a great yellow tram and visit the old town - open air museum. Over fifty buildings from across Denmark were brought to Aarhus to create Hans Christian Andersen's Denmark. Little girl eats gingerbread cookies. In Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen children enjoy various rides and watch trapeze artists performance.
Family takes a boat trip in Denmark's older paddle steamer Hjelen, they go for a swim at on of the beaches of Fano. Danish yachtsman is seen sailing - great scene. Legoland in village of Billund is the next destination. It is a model village built entirely from lego 'bricks' - fantastic! Children love it.
Family goes back to farm enjoying a meal in a garden while their hosts do their work. Several shots of pigs and piglets - beautiful shot of a little boy surrounded by piglets - he talks to them. Most of Danish pigs end up in Britain. Lorries filled with bacon are ready to go to England. Family boards a ferry to go home. They are on a deck watching Danish coast disappearing. While children sleep, couple watch a sunset at sea.
