    M/S of a group of people looking at a very ancient flying machine - judging by the women's costumes the bit of footage is from the early 1900s.

    Intertitle: "Gustave Hamel".

    M/S of a primitive looking aeroplane being pushed out of a marquee past a crowd of onlookers. C/U of a man - Hamel - standing in front of the plane, he wraps a white silk scarf around his neck. Once again footage looks like it is pre-1920s.

    Intertitle: "Pegoud ... the first to loop the loop".

    M/S of a primitive looking plane preparing for take off, the pilot signals with his arm. M/S of a group of men standing around the plane. M/S of the pilot - Pegoud - sitting in the cockpit, another man helps him fasten his safety harness.

    Intertitle: "The genesis of the R.A.F. Officers of the Royal Flying Corps and their machines taken at Farnborough in 1912".

    M/S of two men in front of an aeroplane, one man helps the other into a leather flying jackets. Various shots of men, some wearing smart uniforms, climbing into the cockpits of their biplanes. L/S of a rickety looking biplane taking off.

    M/S at a very battered looking plane, appears to have no wings, being pushed along (with great difficulty) by a gang of men.

    Intertitle: "Now the World has been circles and we have Pullman Expresses of the Skies".

    L/S of an enormous biplane parked on a runway, twenty or so men shelter beneath its wings.
