Background: KING MOTLOTLEHI MOSHOESHOE THE SECOND OF LESOTHO, ON A ONE-WEEK STATE VISIT TO GHANA, SPENT NEARLY FIVE HOURS ON MONDAY (NOVEMBER 21) TOURING DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN THE TEMA INDUSTRIAL AREA. THE TOUR FOLLOWED A TWO-HOUR STATE DRIVE IN AN OPEN CAR THROUGH THE MAIN STREETS OF THE CAPITAL, ACCRA.

THE KING, WHO WAS ACCOMPANIED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE GOVERNING NATIONAL LIBERATION COUNCIL, LIEUTENANT-GENERAL JOSEPH ANKRAH, WAS CHEERED BY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO LINED ACCRA'S STREETS.

THE KING THEN WENT TO THE TEMA INDUSTRIAL AREA, INSPECTED THE HARBOUR WITH REAR-ADMIRAL D.A. HANSEN, GHANA'S CHIEF OF NAVAL STAFF, AND SAW A NEW DRY DOCK UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

OUT IN THE COUNTRY, KING MOSHOESHOE VISITED THE AKOSOMBO DAM AND THE ABURI BOTANICAL GARDENS, ESTABLISHED NEARLY 100 YEARS AGO.
