Background: From the Royal Palace on the Dam in Amsterdam Dutch Veterans of the Resistance forces carry the Hungarian resistance flag to the National Liberation Monument. This Resistance flag was handed over last year to H.M. the Queen by the Hungarian that fled from their country during the revolution and came to Holland. This flag is kept in the Royal Palace.
The Hungarians that are now living in Holland, commemorate the day, exactly a year ago, that the tragic battle against the suppressor was fought for the freedom of their country.
During this short ceremony Anna Kethly was present, who has been minister of State during the revolution for a short time. Now she is fighting for the Hungarian rights in the free countries.
Hungarians living in Holland and refugees from the November-revolution laid a wreath near the National Monument on the Dam, opposite the Royal Palace.
On this dreary, miserable Sunday in several other cities of Holland similar ceremonies were held.
