Background: Samora Machel, the man strongly tipped to be Prime Minister when Mozambique becomes independent, visited Zambia for important talks on the Rhodesian situation.
Zambia played a key role in helping black Mozambiquans in their fight for freedom from Portuguese rule.
One of the major topics in the talks will be Mozambique's intentions to impose an economic blockade designed to bring down the white Rhodesian government.
Zambia and Mozambique share about two thirds of the territory surrounding the land-locked Rhodesia.
On Thursday (15 May), Samora Machel will address a mass rally of people who fled from Mozambique to Zambia during Portuguese rule.
