Background: There exist a 60 years old story. The inside of the Hungarian Plain is hiding fabulous treasures. Its name is oil. They whispered a long time about this secret and 10 years ago the miracle had come to ps???. In the small village Tap? they researched after water and they found oil. Algyo became a Eutopean famous village, below and beside Algyo there is a 15 km long findspot of hydrocarbon. But it was not a freak of fortune.
In 1918 Jeno Cholnoky the world famous geolo-fist has written a letter to the Council of the city Szeged and made clear definition of the reality of our days:" In the surrounding of Szeged we can search of gas with the greatest courage. We have to plan the drilling for 2000 mts.The surrounding of Szeged is an important point of the drilling of gassers in the Hungarian national economy".
This afternoon Hungarian prime minister Dr. Gyorgy Lazar ???esent on the ceremony when Dr. Pal Dimon, Minister of Heavy Industry opened the mineral oil and natural gas field, the company and its technical equipments.The leaders of the Party and of the State, the experts of the company visited the new establish??nt and we were informed that 123 researchers and after 361 drillings, with a development of 6.5 milliard forints they are able to produce 1 million tons mineral oil and 2.2?mill??? cubic meter natural gas.
