Background: Qatar's Education Minister Sheikh Jasmin bin Hamad al-Thani is currently in London on a week-long visit. One of the highlights was his tour of London Zoo yesterday (March 5).

The Minister has taken an active interest in wildlife and conservation in his own country, where he has been instrument in safeguarding a hard of oryx, one of the species currently most in danger of becoming extinct.

Sheikh al-Thani is no stranger to London. But this will be a visit to remember as his schedule includes a trip to Sandhurst military academy, where he will see his son taking part in the passing out parade.
