Background: Arriving in East Pakistan the Members of the Goodwill Delegation from Kenya receive a hearty welcome at Dacca airport.
Accompanied by the Provincial Transport Minister, the delegation embarks on a River Cruise during which they make a keen survey of the progress. Along the banks of the river, huge mills and factories now produce industrial goods of every description.... Ten years ago this was a completely rural area.
After the cruise, the Members inspect fresh jute fibre, a sample of this year crop.
At the Government House, the Delegation calls on the Provincial Governor to discuss matters of mutual co-operation between Kenya and Pakistan in the commercial as well as the cultural fields.
A breath taking birds-eye view of the great metropolis of Karachi. This is the sight that most impresses the fifteen member goodwill delegation from Kenya, as they look out from the top of the State Bank Building. Led by the Information Minister of Kenya the Delegation tours the Bank premises and sees the role it is playing in Pakistan's development.
In the Library they see a wealth of books on economic and commerce. In the statistics department they watch the latest methods of tabulating figures in progress.
Pakistan enjoys close ties of friendship with Kenya and the visit of this Delegation will lead to economic and cultural co-operation with an important Afro-Asian Neighbour.
