Background: The Cabinet met this morning as Ministerial Defence Committee to discuss the Preparations for the Summit tomorrow with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat.
Interview with Moshe Arrens Chairman of Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee. After returning from Egypt recently he was questioned on his recent talks with Sadat.
Says it is in the interest of both Israel and Egypt who are both concerned about Soviet penetration in the Mid east to make an exchange of territories. That Israel should be allowed use of the facilities in the Sinai the naval base in Sharem el sheikh and the airbases which will be returned in April of 82. This not a favour but in both interests. Possible that settlers old stay in area. Says this will be discussed at the meeting tomorrow but more importantly the situation in Lebanon.
