    THE MOUNTAIN GORILLA, LARGEST AND HEAVIEST OF THE GORILLA FAMILY, IS COMPLETELY BLACK. IT IS A NATIVE OF THE CONGO.

    AS YET THE BABY'S SEX IS UNKNOWN. IT WILL BE SOME TIME BEFORE BOTH MOTHER AND BABY CAN COME FROM ISOLATION.

    BUT THE NEW ARRIVAL IS PROVING A HUGE ATTRACTION. THERE ARE ONLY 14 MOUNTAIN GORILLAS IN CAPTIVITY.
