Background: Sir DERMET A. BOYLE, Royal Airforce Chief, arrived at the Airforce station of Palam in New Delhi on 15th January, 1958 on official invitation of the Government of India. He was received by Air Vice Marshall Arjun Singh at the airport. Immediately after arrival he inspected a guard of honour provided by the Air Force while the band played simultaneously. He took keen interest in the men and talked to them personally. In the evening he called on the Indian Defence Minister Mr. Krishna Menon. Mr. Boyle is scheduled to visit airforce stations and instalments of India during his current tour.
