Background: Nineteen year old Australian part-aborigine girl, Evonne Goolagong, today smashed her way into the Women's Finals at Wimbledon with a 6-4, 6-4 win over centre court veteran, Billie Jean King.

Miss Goolagong, playing with a maturity and assurance far above her years, swept aside the three times champion in straight sets. The match lasted only 55 minutes.

In the final on Friday, Miss Goolagong--one of seven children of the family of a sheep shearer from the country town of Barellan--will now meet champion Margaret Court.

It will be the first all-Australian women's final in Wimbledon history.
