Background: As the Nov 20, General Election draws near in Japan, political leaders are well into their stride and conducting their campaigns on themes that are already well known to the Japanese population. Apart from the large parties there are a host of splinter and independent candidates fighting for election.
One of the most popular of the independent candidates is Bin Akao, an ultra-right wing campaigner. From his election headquarters in central Tokyo he covers the city making speeches and holding open air meetings.
Like Premier Ikeda'a Liberal Democratic Party he supports the Japanese-United States Security Treaty. Although Bin Akao agrees with the present Government on the major foreign issue his national policies are very different.
Wherever he campaigns he displays slogans like "Japan and United States for Unity". All his speeches attack the Communists and Socialists.
