    Background: Seventy valuable Bentley cars, old and new, have arrived on the Isle of Man to take part in a run commemorating the victory of the Bentley team in the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race of in treacherous weather conditions. The owners and drivers of Bentleys worth some 125,000 US dollars (GBP60,000) arrived on September 1 on the ship 'Max Viking' for a four-day visit. This included a drive around the famous TT course, and a reception from the Island's tourist authority. On September 4, the cars, including a 4.5 litre Bentley driven by Roy Spiers, an R Special driven by Dr. A. Taylor, and a three litre vehicle driven by Mr. E. Young, set out from Douglas's Palace Hotel speeding to the town of Ramsey for the unveiling of a commemorative plaque to the 1922 team.
