Background: As a precaution against pestilence in the sun-baked earthquake-devastated Moroccan aside resort of Agadir, March 3, 3,000 Sailor of the French Mediterranean Fleet wear masks and coat their bodies with antibiotic liquid as they recover some of the 2350 dead for burial in communal graves.

Health authorities ordered the sealing of the town by armed Moroccan police and the evacuation of all non-essential workers. Sanitation teams sprayed the rubble with disinfectant in areas yet to be cleared of the dead.

Demolition teams smeared protective chloride on their skin as they probed fallen homes for people dead or trapped to stay any outbreak of typhoid or cholera.

Of the resort's 50,000 people, 3500 were still feared to be deep under the rubble with no hope of recovery alive.

Aid is world-wide: plastic surgeons from Britain, supply ships from Holland, Norway and France, airlift helicopters and planes from the U.S.
