Background: This year's Daily Mail International Ski Show opened on Tuesday (25 November) and its seventy-six exhibitors cover most aspects of skiing and winter sports.
There are fashion shows, advice on winter sports holidays, free skiing tuition, folk dancing and music, demonstrations by skiing champions and an exhibition of ski wear and equipment.
One of the main features is a huge indoor ski slope. It covers 2,200 square feet and is one of the largest of its type.
The show is the third staged by the Daily Mail and runs until 30 November, 1975. Among the top competitors giving demonstrations there'll be skiers from Austria, Italy, Scotland and the British Olympic Women's ski team.
SYNOPSIS: Fashion, skiing and winter sports generally feature in this year's Daily Mail International Ski Show, which opened in London on Monday.
The exhibition features many fashion shows...with clothes like these one piece suits. On the right a dungaree suit and on the left a zipped-together one-piece suit.
The feet are not forgotten either...with displays of boots which include those for aires-ski wear. But the show's not all models and fashions. There's also advice offered for holidays, skiing tuition, folk dancing and demonstrations by skiing champions.
It's the third time the show has been organised and already plans are well underway for next year.
For the more practical, there are displays of skis...like these short free-style skis.
But the main features of the show is this huge indoor ski slope...one of the largest of its type in the world.
