Sound Effects. Roosevelt says that sources opposed to democracy have attacked freedom of religion, and when religion and democracy have vanished it is given way to ambition & brute force. Dictatorship, he continues, means loss of freedom of speech, capital confiscated, being afraid to walk down the street with the wrong neighbour & having our children brought up as pawns moulded for a machine, but if to avoid these things taxes are required on income and death duties Roosevelt says he will willingly pay them for the price of his own and his children breathing free air in a free country.
