Kenema, Sierra Leone, is 230 miles (370 kilometres) from Freetown. The Prime Minister of Sierra Leone, Mr. Siaka Stevens, and mrs. Stevens travelled to Kenema to attend the historic ceremony. Also present were the Bishop of Victoria, British Columbia, Monsignor Remi Joseph de Roo.
