Background: INTRODUCTION: Figure-skating -- and in the European Championships in Helsinki, Finland, Anett Poezsch of East Germany has taken first place in the Ladies Compulsory. Second was Dagmar Lurz of West Germany, and third Susan Driano of Italy.
SYNOPSIS: Nineteen-year-old miss Driano, who's been skating competitively since 1968, took the bronze with 42.36 points and 29 ordinals. In last year's Montreal Olympics, she took seventh place.
Miss Lurz, skating to second place, She's 17 years old, and until now her previous best performance was sixth place in last year's European Championships This performance earned her 43.96 points, and nineteen-and-a-half ordinals.
Anett Poezsch -- displaying winning form with nine ordinals and 45.6 points. She was fourth in both the European and World Championships last year.
The three girls won their medals from a field of 25 competitors.
