    Background: President Justin Ahomadegb-Tometin of Dahomey attended a special parachute display at Ouidah on September 20th - celebrating the day of 3rd Michel, patron Saint of paratroopers.

    The President was accompanied by members of his Cabinet, Chief-of-Staff Colonel Paul-Emile de Souza, National Defence Chief Lieutenant-Colonel Alphonse Alley, and other high ranking officers. They reviewed the paratroopers and watched a fly past and drop by the parachutists of the 1st Commando Company. Colonel Souza also presented wings to Battalion Chief Alladays.
