Background: Some of the world's best rally drivers are taking part in the five day East African Safari Rally which starts in Nairobi tomorrow (Thursday). To warm up for the event recognised as among the most gruelling in the world, some of the drivers have taken part in a pre-rally contest. It gave visiting drivers, including a large contingent from Japan, a chance to acquit themselves with African conditions and put their cars through tough testing.
