Background: Rugby, and South Africa's Springboks put on a thrilling display on Saturday (27 August) when they beat a talented `Rest of the World' side captained by Ireland's Willy John McBride by 45 points to 24. The match, which marked the opening of Pretoria's rebuilt Loftus Versfeld stadium, pitted the polished team performance of the Springboks against the brilliant individual flair of the World Fifteen.
