    Background: For the first time
since World War II, Polish warships -- a destroyer and two minesweepers --
    visited Copenhagen.

Visnews filmed May 22 as the ships arrived, and later as members of the Polish
Navy laid a wreath on the anchor memorial commemorating the Danes who gave their
lives while serving with the British Navy in World War Two.

The new destroyer 'Grom', with a displacement of 2,000 tons, was a gift to
Poland from the USSR...part of the Russian weapon-aid programme. On board, the
destroyer and two accompanying minesweeper, 'Zubr' and 'Los', are 600 Polish
    sailors.

The warships will be in Copenhagen for four days. Danish destroyers are now
    visiting Poland.
