Background: Visnews filmed President Gamel Abdel Nasser in Cairo Dec 9 opening the Industrial and Agricultural Production Fair in the Gezira exhibition grounds.

The president cut a ribbon at the fairground entrance and miniature flags hanging under gay coloured balloons floated over the fairground. Nasser toured the ultra-modern exhibition buildings where 500 companies and nine ministries from all over the United Arab Republic have stands.

In a record four months some 6,000 engineers artists and workmen prepared this, the largest fair ever to be held in modern Egypt.
