Mr. Taha Yassin Ramadhan RCC Member, First Deputy Prime Minister chaired the Iraqi side while Mr. Lindan - Foria Simpson Bernham Prime Minister of Guyana headed his county's side.
The Iraqi side included Mr. Hassan Ali, Minister of Trade, Dr. Taha Ibrahim Alabdullah Minister of Planning Mr. Hamid Alwan Minister of Justice. The Iraqi side also included the chairman of the second international department at the foreign Ministry, secretary general of the foreign relations committee at the RCC and other officials.
The Guyanian side included Mr. Heng Diesmond Minister of economic development the foreign Minister, the Minister of justice, the Permanent secretary of the Prime Minister's office and Guyanian ambassador in Baghdad.
At the beginning of the meeting. Mr. Ramadan welcomed the delegation and described the meeting of President Saddam -Hussein with the Guyanian Prime Minister at the Havana non-alignment summit and the visit of Vice-President Taha-Muhideen Moarouf to Guyana recently as a serious start on establishing spheres of cooperations between both countries.
Mr. Ramadan said we work to establish good relations with tall states especially the non-aligned countries.
Both sides discussed ties of cooperation and means of developing them, regional and international issues of mutual concern and the role played by the non-alignment movement in international relations.
Three committees were branched of the meeting, namely the economic and trade cooperation committee, the political committee and the committee of drafting the joint communique.
