    Background: Secretary of State Henry Kissinger left Israel yesterday (13 October) after an eighteen-hour flying visit during which he had two rounds of talks with Israel leaders.

    He left for Saudi Arabia and Cairo, where he presented Iarael's view on his latest Middle East peace proposals.

    In all, Dr. Kissinger spent some five hours in discussions with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Foreign Minister Yigal Allon and Defence Minister Shimon Peres.

    Before flying to Saudi Arabia, Dr. Kissinger said there had bene agreement on the principles and procedures which might follow his talks, and both Israeli and American officials were saying that the talks were constructive, useful and friendly.

    And, while Dr. Kissinger left to report on his Israeli talks in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, his assistant, Mr. Joseph Sisco, left by road for Amman to report to King Hussein.
