Background: President Moktar Ould Daddah of Mauritania welcomed President Ahmadou Ahidjo of Cameroun on Tuesday (July 14th) when the visiting head-of state arrived by air in Nouakchott.
A detachment of the National Army was part of the welcoming party at the airport, and flags of the two countries were flying side-by-side as an expression of friendship during President Ahidjo's two-day private visit.
The visiting leader was presented to Mr.Youssouf Koita, President of the National Assembly, the Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Hamdi Ould Mouknass, and the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Sall Abdul Aziz.
Before leaving Nouakchott Airport, President Ahidjo said that he and President Ould Daddah would be having discussions on the problems of West African, the Organisation of African Unity, and the world.
