    LATER, THEY TRAVELLED TWENTY-FIVE KILOMETRES SOUTH-WEST OF THE CAPITAL TO ANOTHER FACTORY. HERE, THEY WAS THE PRODUCTION OF HUGE DYNAMOS AND TRANSFORMERS FOR USE IN ELECTRICAL POWER PLANTS, INCLUDING DIESEL ENGINES FOR CARS AND LOCOMOTIVES.

    EARLIER IN THE DAY, FOREIGN MINISTER TORSTEN NILSSON TOLD A PRESS CONFERENCE THAT HIS COUNTRY HAD RECOGNISED THE PEKING GOVERNMENT IN 1950 AND HAD ALWAYS VOTED IN FAVOUR OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA'S ADMISSION TO THE UNITED NATIONS.

    HE ALSO SAID THAT SWEDEN HOPES TO INCREASE ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION WITH JAPAN THROUGH THE ORGANISATION FOR ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS.

    LAST YEAR, JAPAN'S EXPORTS TO SWEDEN WERE VALUED AT FORTY MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS, ITS IMPORTS FROM SWEDEN AMOUNTED TO ONLY SIXTEEN MILLION.
