Background: Anti-Vietnam war demonstrators returning from a Bonn rally on Sunday (14 Jan.) caused damage to the windows of offices in Frankfurt's business centre. The incident is not thought to he directed ??? American policy, but a senseless and of vandalism with ??? apparent motive.

Among the buildings affected are the Pan American Airlines building, Spanish Airlines offices and the Bank of Greece.

More disturbances took place in Frankfurt today (15 Jan.) when 1,000 Anti-Vietnam demonstrators clashed with police.

SYNOPSIS: In Frankfurt, West Germany's centre of business, extensive damage to office blocks was caused by gangs of vandals on Sunday Unconfirmed reports suggest the vandals were part of an anti-Vietnam war group returning from a demonstration in Bonn. While in Bonn the demonstrators had listened to student leader Rude Dutschke Four years ago, Dutschke, was shot and severely wounded at a rally in Berlin. However, this incident in Frankfurt is reported to have no political motive, but is seen simply as an act of vandalism with no apparent motive.

The Continental Bank was just one of many buildings damaged, as was the Bank of Spain.

More disturbances took place in Frankfurt on Monday when 1,000 anti-Vietnam demonstrators clashed with police riot squads.
