Background: For the fist time, one of the Foremost gestronemia clubs in the world, the French Chaine des Rotisseurs (Guild of Chefs), held its World Congress on African soil when it met in Abidjan, Ivory Coast last week.
The Congress opened on Thursday (12 December) at the congress Palace in the Ivory Coast capital. Ivory Coast is the only black African country to being to the association, which was formed in France in the 13th ???ury.
Some of the biggest names in Swiss gastronomic circles, such as M. F??? Balestra, President of the Swiss restaurateurs association, M. ??? Parot, a Swiss chef, and M. Jean Gressler, President of the Swiss ??? guild, were the judges in the competition section of the congress.
The judging took place in the Hotel Ivoire, where a west array of fine ??? was on display both to the judges and members of the public.
