TRANSCRIPT SEQ 5: LORD ALEXANDER: "THE GREAT MAN HAS NOW GONE TO THE REST HE HAS SO WELL EARNED. WE MOURN HIS DEATH. BUT WE MUST DO MORE THAN THAT. WE MUST HONOUR HIS MEMORY BY SHOWING OUR GRATITUDE TO HIM, FOR HE DID MORE TO UPHOLD THE FREEDOMS UNDER WHICH WE LIVE THAN ANY OTHER MAN IN OUR TIME. AND THIS WE ARE ABOUT TO DO BY LAUNCHING AN APPEAL WHICH WILL BE KNOWN AS "THE WINSTON CHURCHILL MEMORIAL TRUST". NOW SIMILAR APPEALS TO OUR OWN ARE BEING LAUNCHED IN CANADA, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND AND THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WE BELIEVE THAT A FITTING MEMORIAL TO THIS INCOMPARABLE MAN IS THE CREATION OF A LIVING ONE. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WHAT WE ASK TODAY IS THAT THE MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN OF THESE COUNTRIES, TO MAKE THE WINSTON CHURCHILL TRUST HIS LIVING AND UNENDING MEMORIAL."

    SEQ 7:

SIR ROBERT MENZIES: "SOMETIMES IN THE COURSE OF ONE'S LIFE ONE INCURS A DEBT AND THE DEBT MAY PERHAPS BE DISCHARGED BY ONE BLOW ... BY ONE PAYMENT, BY ONE ACT. BUT THIS IS NOT A DEBT OF THAT KIND. THIS IS A DEBT WHICH IS PART OF OUR INHERITANCE. IT WILL BE FULLY DISCHARGED, IF OUR GRAND-CHILDREN AND GREAT-GRAND-CHILDREN ARE LIVING IN FREEDOM".

    SEQ 9:

MR KEITH HOLYOAKE: "JUST TO MAKE IT BRIEF, I JOIN WITH LORD ALEXANDER AND SIR ROBERT IN SAYING THAT NOBODY I'M SURE COULD HAVE THOUGHT OF A MORE APPROPRIATE MEMORIAL TO THIS WONDERFUL MAN. A LIVING, CONTINUING, ETERNAL MEMORIAL".
