    Background: Prime Minister of Greece, Constantine Karamanlis, arrived at Orly Airport, Paris, July 11, for a three-day official visit and was cordially welcomed by French Premier Michael Debre, on behalf of his Government.

    Mr. Karamanlis was expected to confer with Premier Debre and members of the French Government, on the question of Greece entering the six-nation European Common Market. The present member countries are France, Germany, Italy, Belgian, Holland and Luxembourg.

    The Greek Premier will also attend Bastille Day celebrations on July 14 - France's commemoration of the 1789 storming of the Bastille, and talk with President De Gaulle.
