Troodos is the highest mountain, where the British are stationed. In the lovely valley of the Dolpin cafe' and night club, a few people watch the semi-finals of the all Island Tournament, under the auspices of the long Tennis Association.
In August, an annual Fair or Festival takes place in Platres, in which fruits, hand work, and textiles are exhibited for the entertainment of the tourists. Sports, dances, and other activities are also included in the festivities.
During the exhibition of this year, the Minister of trade Mr. Aracuzos arrives for the opening accompanied by Mr. Kyprianou Minister of the Exterior.
