Background: Fourth day at the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships June 25 VISNEWS filmed top seeds Christine Truman and A. Olmedo battling hard for victory.
Britain's Christine Truman had a slow start against unseeded British Pat Ward and lost the first set 4-6. First sign of recovery came when Christine broke her opponent's service in the opening game of the second set. She still remained slightly nervous but eventually squared by winning the set 6-4. Then Christine went on to win the third set, and match, 6-3.
No.1 seed A. Olmedo of USA, playing against unseeded R. Krishnan of India, also did not seem to give all he had. He won the first set 6-4 but had to cede ground in the second which he lost 3-6. In spite of Krishnan's stiff opposition Olmedo then took the third and fourth sets 6-4, 7-5.
