Background: In Pakistan, the Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works launched its second tugboat on Saturday (7th October).
The tug, named "Jeddah-2" was launched by the Central Communications Minister, Mr Ghulam Mustafa jatoi. It was built for Saudi Arabia.
The order for the tug was won by the Shipyard in the face of stiff international competition. It's the first of its kind to be built in Pakistan.
The tug is powered by two 500 brake horsepower engines. Overall, it is nearly 86 feet long and has a maximum speed of ten knots.
