Background: Further to our telephone talk today, we are sending you herewith a short mute assembly of film material on the oil rig "Ocean Prince", now drilling in the North Sea for the Burmah Group.
For your information the Group is made up of the Burmah Oil Company and I.C.I. as the principal owners, with a smaller share held by the Murphy Oil Corporation (U.S.A.) and ODECO - Ocean Drilling and Exploration Company (U.S.A.).
The enclosed material is background stuff on Ocean Prince drilling and is made available to you for possible use should you wish in your newsreels. It is not available for general library purpose outside your News Department.

I am writing to thank you for sending us the mute film material of the Burmah Oil Group North Sea Exploration - I have had it 'booked in' and it will be held by our Editorial Department until they can release it on the announcement of the oil find.
It's nice to know they have found oil and gas, and I hope they have a 'gusher' - I believe they are the only people so far to have actually found oil in the North Sea.
Your remarks about Library use have been noted and I shall inform our Librarian accordingly.
