Background: General Abdul Karim Kassim, Iraqi Prime Minister, received a rapturous welcome when he drove to the parade ground at the Military Reservist's College, Baghdad, Iraq., August 13.
The occasion was the graduation ceremony of 800 Reserve Army officers who have just completed a course at the College.
After the playing of the National Anthem, General Kassim inspected the reservists who next formed up to march past him.
When the reservists had marched past, General Kassim left the dais to present awards to prize-winning officer-students, who in return gave the Prime Minister a College badge.
General Kassim then addressed the Parade, saying that he gave "his full support to every word uttered by Colonel Mahdawi," (President of the People's Court.
He further added that he would crush imperialism, reaction and feudalism.
Diplomats, Military Commanders, Ministers, and Trade Union representatives were among those present at the ceremony at the Muasker Al-Rashid College.
