IN KASANGANI -- FORMERLY STANLEYVILLE -- THE GOVERNMENT IS NOW PUSHING AHEAD WITH A REBUILDING PROGRAMME AFTER MANY BUILDINGS HAD BEEN DESTROYED IN THE 1964 REBELLION.

MONEY HAS BEEN COLLECTED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY FOR A FUND TO HELP AREA AFFECTED BY THE REBELLION.

MADAME LIHAU, BEFORE SIGNING THE VISITORS BOOK, DESCRIBED THE ACTION OF NDJILI'S YOUTH AS A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF NATIONAL SOLIDARITY.

LATER SHE WENT ON TO VISIT ONTARIC, AN ORGANISATION FOR THE PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED, WHERE SHE REPRESENTED PRESIDENT MOBUTU AT THE SECOND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS A RACE BETWEEN HAND-OPERATED TRICYCLES.

AFTER INSPECTING AN EXHIBITION OF WORK DONE BY THE HANDICAPPED, MADAME LIHAU ASSURED THE ORGANISATION OF THE CONTINUED SUPPORT OF HER MINISTRY.
