Background: Cambodian Prime Minister Lon Nol is recovering from a heart attack in Phnom Penh, the capital, under supervision of United States' military doctors flown in from Saigon in South Vietnam. Unconfirmed reports say the General, who was taken ill on Monday (February 8) after a lengthy session in the National Assembly, Cambodia's parliament, is paralysed in half his body. Official Cambodian Government reports, however, say the General's condition is "not serious".
Our film, compiled from the Visnews library, shows General Nol being sworn in as Prime Minister in March last year (1970) and on a visit to South Vietnam last month (January 1971).
