Background: Timing devices dating back to the sun-dial and sand-glass, all the way up to ornately designed nineteenth cataria clocks and watches are being displayed in the Savaria museum in Szombathely, Hungary. There are more than 100 antique clocks and watches on display. Most are owned by private collectors or museums. Three of the most beautifully ornamented and valuable clocks on display are a musical clock made in 1790, another musical clock from Vienna, and a church clock of 1888, which is still functioning. The organisers have also displayed watches from the country's first factory.
