We have requested President Nixon to change the totality of American policy towards the Middle East much as he changed American policy towards China. Israel is America's promotion in the middle east, and America should bypass Israel and develop its ties with the Arab people. We have requested the Arab governments, who are today meeting in Kuwait, to change their attitude towards the United States. Arab Governments should have confidence in the American people. They should change their outlook and recognise that only (a) basic change in American policy will force Israel to recognise the legitimate rights of the Arab people of Palestine."
