Background: Cricket....and a century partnership between captain Mike brearley and Derek Randall revived England on Monday (8 January) -- the third day of the Fourth Test match in Sydney. Their second-wicket stand was vital after opener Geoff Boycott had, for the first time ever, been dismissed by the opening ball of England's second innings. By stumps, England were one hundred and thirty three for two, still eight runs behind Australia's first innings of two hundred and ninety four.
