    M. CHATTY DEPLORED THAT AFTER ITS DECLARATION IN VENICE THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITY HAD MADE NO PROGRESS IN ITS PEACE-SEEKING EFFORTS IN THE MIDDLE EAST WHILE THE UNITED STATES HAD ADOPTED A POLICY WHICH THREATENS TO FREEZE THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE.
