    Background: After being heartily welcomed by the people of Amsterdam today, 8th July, at the start of his 4-day State visit to the Netherlands, King Baudoin, King of the Belgians, saw much of the city from its ancient canals as he travelled by boat to the Rijkamuseum.

    With the King ware Queen Juliana of the Netherlands and her husband, Prince Bernhard, and the Burgomaster of Amsterdam, Mr. Van Mall.

    Visnews cameras filmed the royal party as they landed from their boat and during their visit to the famous museum with its many priceless pictures painted by the great masters of the golden ago of Dutch art. Among the paintings to which they paid particular attention ware pictures by Frans Hale. Van der Helst ad Rembrandt. The last picture at which they looked -- for some minutes, before they left the galleries was Rembrandt's "The Night Watch", painted in 1642.
