Background: The Tunisian Prime Minister, Mr. Hedi Nouira had more than two hours of talks with the Iranian Prime Minister, Mr. Amir Abbas Hoveyda on Tuesday (8 January).
Reporting on the talks in the Iranian capital, Teheran, Radio Iran said the two Prime Ministers had discussed the world energy crisis and the Arab-Israeli conflict.
Mr. Nouira arrived in Teheran on Monday (7th January) for a five day official visit as Mr. Hoveyda's guest. The Tunisian Economy Minister, Chedli Ayari, who joined Mr. Nouira in Teheran on Monday told reporters before he left Tunis that Iran was prepared to help Tunisia in projects related to energy, training oil experts and setting up industries based on phosphate fertilisers.
Tunisia exports about 6 million tons of oil a year.
