TRANSCRIPT: SEQ 3: KENNEDY: "I come here as the Chairman of the Health Committee of the United States Senate. We are conducting now, a review of the health delivery systems in some of the European countries and we have come here to Israel from four and a half days that we spent Great Britain and we leave here in two days to travel to Scandinavia. This is a part a very thorough study that the Health Committee in the United States Senate has been conducting for some seven months. We have had weeks of hearings in Washington D.C. And then we have travelled around the United States for some eight weeks, During that period of time in different parts of the country we have heard some interesting comments that were made about Israeli health, and we are particularly interested in what the State of Israel is doing in order to deliver health in many of the rural communities. The very efficient use of nurses in helping to provide vitally needed health services in a number of the rural as well as urban communities. We are very interested in the delivery of the health services too which is extremely widespread and varied and then, of course, we are interested in the kind of quality health that has been able to be achieved here in the State of Israel.
