SYNOPSIS: In Kinshasa, a big parade at the Stadium of the 24th November to mark International Literacy Day. The day was celebrated throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as it was all over Africa. The celebrations came as UNESCO announced from Paris that the world was slowly winning the battle for literacy.
The participants in the rally heard a speech in which they were reminded of the manifesto of Nsele, which proclaims the right of all Congolese to have access to knowledge and enjoy its benefits.
