SADAT: "I really intended, to give a new example of trying to establish a new conception in the (INDISTINCT) relation, through which the party concerned can spare a lot of time, lot of efforts, lots of suffering, to reach a solution like civilised people round the table. But still, unfortunately, I did not receive a response from the other side, but it doesn't mean at all that or the initiative has lost its importance or its significance after the hundreds of millions all over the world endorsed and lived with us every moment, and still living with us until this moment. Let us hope that the new conception will prevail, a new example is put here to all the world's problems to be solved through civilised ways, rather than through hatred or bitterness or violence, because it will never or result except in hatred and bitterness and bloodshed."

    QUESTION: (INDISTINCT)

SADAT: "Well, you see, I don't want to interfere in other domestic problems. What I feel is this, Mr. Begin should be flexible and I told Weizman, when he visited me this."

Israeli Defence Minister Ezer Weizman held talks in Cairo last week with President Sadat, but appeared to achieve no breakthrough. President Sadat said Mr. Weizman might comeback to Cairo: "I have no objection to this. He is welcome whenever there are new ideas. "President Sadat said of the 45,000 Israelis, who demonstrated in Tel Aviv last week against Mr. Begin's hardline policy; "They are wise".
