    THE OCCASION WAS ALSO A FAREWELL FOR TWO RETIRING GERMAN OFFICERS: COMMODORE HUBERT VON WANGENHEIM, 58, CHIEF OF COMMAND, GERMAN NATO NAVAL FORCES IN THE NORTH SEA, AND VICE-ADMIRAL GERHARD WAGNER, 65, NATO COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, ALLIED SEA FORCES IN THE BALTIC.

    BOTH MEN TOOK THE SALUTE FROM THE BRIDGE OF THE GERMAN FRIGATE "AUGSBURG" DURING THE REVIEW.
