Background: King Paul of Greece, wearing the uniform of Air Marshal of the Royal Hellenic Air Force, attended a commissioning ceremony at Tatoi Air Force Base, near Athens, Sept 8, and presented dress swords to the new officers.

Due to constant changing of NATO techniques, and the continued modernization of aircraft, the Greek Air Staff recently decided to increase the amount of officer-cadet intake at Greek military establishments.
